Creamy Mashed Potatoes

Ok, so… I have been trying for over 11 years now to make Mashed Potatoes that were actually edible.  I know, I know… sounds like such a simple thing, right?  Mashed potatoes.  Well, mine always came out either tasteless, like soup or way too hard.  I made some yesterday that were simply unbelievable.  They even inspired my husband to write a Facebook status update!  LOL

Creamy Mashed Potatoes

Serves: 4-5
Ingredients
  • 6 Large Russet Potatoes
  • 3 Tablespoons Butter
  • 4 Tablespoons Heavy Whipping Cream
  • Salt
  • Pepper
Instructions
  1. Peel and cube the potatoes
  2. Place cubed potatoes in large pot
  3. Cover completely with water
  4. Bring water to a boil and boil for 15 to 20 minutes (or until potatoes are fork tender)
  5. Drain water completely
  6. Mash potatoes with fork or potato masher
  7. Add Butter and Heavy Whipping Cream
  8. Season with Salt and Pepper to taste
