There have been a few of you asking which blender I use for my Green Smoothies, so I thought I would post it here for you to check out. I looked at many blenders before I chose my Ninja with Auto IQ that is shown up above. I looked at the Nutribullet, like the one shown here:
I thought, like many of my Periscope viewers that the Nutribullet would be a great thing for smoothies. Little cleanup, and carry all in one bottle. My grandmother has one and loves hers, but she makes mostly salsas or strawberry milkshakes. After researching it, I decided that I needed a full-size blender so that I wouldn’t have to make multiple smoothies for the whole family.
My mom has a Vitamix blender and enjoys hers. The Vitamix has great reviews and seems to be able to handle frozen fruits and vegetables with ease. Here is the Vitamix:
One of my friends has a Blendtec Blender. It seems very similar in style and features to the Vitamix blender and both would be great blenders to have. here is the Blendtec:
Ultimately, what made the decision for me for the Ninja blender was the versatility and the Auto IQ. The Ninja comes with a lower pricetag than the Vitamix or the Blendtec, but does really well with the frozen fruits. It has several blades that don’t just stay at the bottom of the blender, so I always feel like I can put a lot of stuff in there. The model that I purchased also comes with two different sized cups that include their own lids and own blades, so the Nutribullet doesn’t seem to have an advantage over it… except maybe the size. I’ve been very happy with my purchase overall.
